Who we are

What we collect

• Newsletter / guide requests: the email address you provide and your consent.
• Directory submissions: the company and contact details you enter on the “add your company” form.
• Company accounts: your email address, a securely hashed password (we never store the password itself), the listing details you submit, any logo you upload, and a record of your submissions and their review status.
• Usage data: privacy-friendly, aggregated analytics about how the site is used.

Company accounts

Signing in sets one strictly necessary cookie that keeps you signed in; we use no advertising or tracking cookies. Account data, submissions and uploaded logos are stored with Microsoft Azure (our hosting, database, storage and email provider) in European and UK regions. Listing details and logos you submit are reviewed by us and, once approved, published on the site, that is the point of them. Your sign-in email address is never published unless you also enter it as the listing's public contact address.

Why, and our lawful basis

We use your details only to send what you asked for and to operate the site. Our lawful basis is your consent (which you can withdraw at any time) and our legitimate interest in running and improving the site.

Sharing

We don't sell your data. We use trusted providers (for example an email/form service and analytics) who process data on our behalf under appropriate terms.

Retention

We keep your data only as long as needed for the purpose you gave it, or until you ask us to delete it. Company accounts stay open while the listing is active; to close your account and remove its data, email hello@londonlifts.co.uk and we will confirm once it is done. Published listing content can stay in the directory as an unclaimed listing unless you ask for it to come down too.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or unsubscribe at any time, every email includes an unsubscribe link, or just email hello@londonlifts.co.uk. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
